The Process Of Pickling Music: The Paisley Pickles
The Paisley Pickles are a children’s band formed in 2008. They perform high-energy interactive concerts of original music to children and their families. The target audience is primarily kids ages 3-10, but the music suits Pickle fans of all ages.
The band conducts various Paisley Pickles Songwriting Workshops for schools and other educational entities. The Workshops allow children to create their own song themes and lyrics along with the Paisley Pickles. In addition to all of the fun the kids have, they receive a recording of their original song created and performed by the students and the band.
The Paisley Pickles also perform various works of charity across of the Philadelphia region. They are members of WXPN’s Musician’s On-Call program where the group goes room to room to play music to youngsters in the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania and other area hospitals. The Pickles also perform for numerous local and national charitable organizations on a regular basis.
Lastly, the Pickles have created and self-produced their own feature video program, The Paisley Pickles Show. The Pilot was aired on MINDTV in March of 2011 and continues to be rerun on a regular basis.
Looking at the vast spectrum of children’s artists and performers in today’s world, The Paisley Pickles surely stand out as something special. These three humble characters have the unique ability to tap into that special part of the human soul reserved just for music that everyone longs to unleash.
